Diary, 1902-1908.

This series contains two diaries. The first was written by Helen Fitch McLaughlin and spans her sophomore and junior years at the University of Wisconsin, 1906-1908. She describes her daily activities and thoughts. The second diary was written by a young woman from Iowa who was in some way related to Helen McLaughlin but whose identity is still unknown. She, and a woman named Cornelia, stayed in Boston, Massachusetts from December 1902 to April 1903. They attended lectures, concerts and plays, took a trip to Washington, D.C. and visited relatives living in Groton, Massachusetts. Attached in the back of the diary is a list of some of the members of the Fitch family born between 1777 and 1823.
